Ísafjörður Port
- International connectivity: As an international shipping route port, the total harbor area spans 40 hectares with over 1,100 meters of quayside for all ship types. The port area hosts essential services related to port activities, ranging from food and industrial production to research, biotechnology, education, and specialized services.
- New development plan: The 22ha Suðurtangi will be a hub for port-related activities, offering mixed-size plots. Its design aims to boost industries, innovation, and exports, encouraging collaboration between companies and educational institutions.
- Current services: Ísafjörður Port already facilitates fisheries, transport services, cruise ships, yachts, and small boats.
- Historical significance: Suðurtangi serves as a development area for Ísafjörður Port, home to one of Iceland's oldest continuous commercial districts.
- Strategic port: Ísafjörður Port is a vital export harbor for the Westfjords' fishing grounds, the largest in Iceland, and serves as a support point for A-Greenland.
